How do I know if my child is eligible to receive a scholarship through this program? +
There are two primary eligibility requirements for students to apply. First, the student must be entering 1st through 12th grade in September 2026. Second, the student must be able to provide verification—such as a current report card—that they attend one of the 17 Philadelphia schools slated for closure, as identified on the City’s official list following the Philadelphia School Board vote on April 30, 2026. All application-related costs are included, and families will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses.
When can I start applying for the scholarship? +
Families can start applying for the scholarship on Wednesday, May 13th at 10:00am EST.
